World of Warcraft Item Upgrades
The upgrade of your items is a vital aspect of equipping your character. Upgrades increase item damage and enchantments.
They also provide bonuses and enhancements. They can be acquired by contacting the Blacksmith.
Players can recycle any item by pressing the upgrade button on it. Every item recycled adds level to the upgrade gauge.
Weapons
When a weapon gets upgraded, it receives a base damage bonus, as well as a scaling factor which affects other stats. Some upgrade components have aesthetic effects while others give additional attributes. These upgrades can be put into armor, weapons, trinkets, and gathering tools, and they generally require the equipment to have an upgrade slot that is available and meet certain requirements. The upgrade component can be removed from an armored weapon, weapon or trinket, but it cannot be replaced. (Except for legendary equipment). Upgrade components can be recovered using a Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool, or using a high-tier salvage tool on the item the item.
A weapon can also be upgraded to include a Calibration attribute that increases certain stats, such as Weakspot damage or Crit Rate. This is done via the Gear Workbench's interaction menu. Based on the tier of the weapon the process can be repeated up to four times.
Once the weapon is at the maximum level of upgrade, it may be reforged using a variety of different upgrade types to boost specific stats or to add bonuses and effects. These upgrades can be applied at once and the effects vary depending on how rare the weapon is.
Two Blacksmiths are able to perform these upgrades in the game: Blacksmith Iji on the Road to the Manor Site of Grace and Smithing Master Hewg at the Church of Elleh hub. The upgrade materials are both different: Smithing Stones to modify the kind of damage weapons deal and Somber Smithing Stones to modify the standard weapons.
It is generally recommended to increase the damage of your weapon first, followed by armour defense, and then the other secondary stats that are required by your build. It is not uncommon to see melee Druids upgrade their weapons before upgrading other gear. This helps maximize DPS. This is particularly true for enchantments, which are extremely efficient in increasing the damage of a weapon and other stats.
Armor
Item Upgrades allow players to increase the stats of certain armors, weapons trinkets and gathering tools. These upgrades may also have other effects, such as an increase in damage or cosmetic enhancements. Item Upgrades are available by crafting, buying from NPC vendors or loot drops, or as quest rewards.
The upgrade of armor can be done by visiting the Armorer NPC and spending appropriate currencies. In the majority of cases the armor will be upgraded to next level once an upgrade is applied. Most armor types can be upgraded, but certain items (such as the starter armour found in Great Sky Island) cannot.
The majority of armor upgrades boost the item's strength or defense by just a little. Certain upgrade components, however, can result in significant increases in strength or defense. This is especially relevant when upgrading epic items.
In addition to increasing the defense of an item, certain upgrades also offer special abilities that can be activated when wearing an armor. These abilities can be helpful in combat, for instance providing a boost to attack speed or blocking. Certain upgrades provide passive effects that are useful, such as decreasing damage when wearing armor or increasing the chance of avoiding an attack.
Based on the type of armor, upgrading an item can require several tries. If a player is looking to upgrade Steelclash armor into Dragonscale and the first attempt will result in a brand new Dragonscale armor with a defense base between 59-67. The second attempt will result in an Dragonscale armor with an initial defense range of 67-77.
The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild lets players to upgrade their armor sets to level 4. To do this players must visit each of the four locations known as Great Fairy Fountains in the game. Each of these locations is home to an incredibly powerful fairy who can upgrade one piece of armor for the player.
Contrary to popular opinion, armor in The Division 2 is not useful. The potions also gain a custom color, which can be chosen by the player via /give. The color affects the effect clouds' area-of-effect as well as the arrows that are generated. In Bedrock Edition, the custom color of the potion also affects the effects of the particles in the potions.
The water bottle, common and thick potions, as well as awkward potions, now have a new brewing texture. In the Creative Inventory, potion healing and potion weakness have been added. The addition of lingering potions which can be brewed using Dragon breath or splash potions. Also included is a thick potion that has the status effect Mining Fatigue. This trinket at its current level makes all kinds of Xx of mimics more prevalent and gives each floor a Y% chance that it contains an ebony replica. This trinket requires a small amount of energy to upgrade.
The magic from the enchanted scepter is believed to affect the dungeon itself which makes it more likely to produce water and grass. This trinket, at its current level, will cause X% of the regular floors to be filled with water or grass. It will not alter glyphs, enchantments, cursed armor or weapons, or items that are generated to aid in the elimination of hazards rooms.
This item, which appears like eyes of a newt is believed to affect your vision in a manner that goes beyond merely decreasing your field of view. This trinket, in its current level, increases the health benefits gained from drinking healing potions and wells of life by X%, and grants mind sight on enemies within the Y tile. This trinket does not stack with the Higher Senses.
Skull Cavern is where you will find Trinkets after completing the Mastery Cave. You can find them by defeating Monsters, and in chests and crates. They aren't found in the Mines or Volcano Dungeon.
If you have a trinket which needs to be upgraded put it in the Anvil to upgrade it. This will create an unintended effect on the trinket, either extending its lifespan or strengthening its effects. You can reforge a Trinket multiple times as often as you want, though it will always have a different effect than the one you had when you forged it.
You can also upgrade your Trinkets at the Alchemy Station by placing them into the Magical Catalyst. This will cost you 6 energy, but will increase the power of the trinket by a tiny amount.
